Don grew up in the Parkwood Manor neighborhood of Philadelphia’s Great Northeast. After graduation from Archbishop Ryan High School for Boys in 1978, he did a four year hitch flight testing guidance systems for Air Force Systems Command out of White Sand Missile Range in Alamogordo, New Mexico. There Don developed a love for technology that propelled him into high tech sales at the beginning of the personal computer boom. Today he’s regarded as a leader in the field. His sales and product training programs, crafted for 3M Corporation, Flextronics International, Avnet and many other companies, have strengthened the careers of thousands of sales people resulting in billions of dollars in revenue for their firms.

Since then, he has continued to provide sales and training based solutions to companies, taking him around the world creating market winning strategies for a wide variety of electronics manufacturers.

Don offers a program to area high schools and colleges, demonstrating to young people the power of communication and the academic disciplines that will provide them with the foundation for higher earning potential and success in their future endeavors.

In addition to years writing corporate communications, ad copy, and training programs, Don has written on a wide variety of subjects for trade periodicals in the technology and sales sectors, as well as essays, op-ed pieces, lifestyle articles and fictional short stories for magazines, newspapers and web based publications.

His current major projects include the non-fiction books Social Tsunami – Real Stories of Riding the Internet Wave with the infamous MC-3 Squad,  The Writer’s Guide to Marketing and Publicity with Jonathan Maberry and Kim Nagy and A Field Guide for the Rookie Coach.

Since 1992 he has coached numerous boys & girls’ basketball, softball and baseball teams, and sat multiple terms on the Board of the Academy Sabres Youth Athletics Organization. Don remains active in the Philadelphia area youth athletics community conducting seminars that help new coaches (and not so new coaches) develop and refine the skills that keep kids having fun and coming back year after year.

He currently resides in Philadelphia where his son and three daughters ensure he has no free time.
